My Birthday Tea

Yesterday I had my birthday tea with my besties…. It’s been our tradition for years to try out a new tea place for each of our birthdays and so this time we decided to try the tea at The Fairmont in San Jose… It was OK.. Better than Lisa’s Tea Treasures in Santana Row, but not as good as Love Joy’s. They didn’t have much of a tea selection, although the tea was still yummy (had the Darjeeling) and they didn’t provide that much food with the package we purchased…. All good. We still had much needed QT because it had been a while since us 4 had kicked it.

Afterwards, we went to Valley Fair to get some retail therapy! There’s nothing like shopping with some girlfriends… It makes it THAT much more funner =) I got me ANOTHER pair of red Toms (Red!!) and a fit to go with it! LOL …. We were there for 3 hours so we didn’t get home till 7 p.m. It was a long day with my girls but it was totally needed and I had a great time =)

You know, we don’t get to kick it as often as we want to – us four – but when we do, it just feels good… I don’t know if this makes sense but our friendship feels like home…. No matter how much time has lapsed from the time that we last kicked it, we’re still as close as ever… and I guess that’s what makes us bestfriends =)

I don’t know if you read this ladies, but I love you girls!!!

Nadine & Cambria

My colorguard pen-pal way back from when I was a freshman in Logan just had her second baby, Cambria... This is them together. How cute, right? I'm so happy for her and her family. I still can't believe that after all these years, we've managed to keep in touch... I even went to her wedding in Laguna Beach... CRAZY. She's always been great to catch up with via e-mail and chat... I'm so glad we both still have each other :)

MMS

I love it when my girlfriends and I shop for each other via MMS texting. It's the best! We are ALWAYS on the look out for stuff that might fit our GF or stuff that we know that our GF would like/love. Take for example Harajuko bags.... It's Lani's FAVE and so whenever I'm at Ross, I'm taking pictures of like 5 different bags, sending them to her via MMS and then she tells me what she wants me to buy!! And Lot - anytime SHE goes to Ross, I can always count on her to take pictures of anything size 5 in case I might like it! I have at least 3 cute flats thanks to her! And then today -- all the way from Canada -- Nette sends me a pic of gray flats from Aldo outlet to see if I want her to purchase a pair for me!! Hahaha.. CRAZY! I love cell phone cameras and MMS texting!!

My boss is also great at being on the lookout for me, too!! When I told her that I was on the lookout for red patent peep toe sling backs (hahaha, hella specific), she found some at the mall, and bought them for me!! No cell phone picture taking at all!! She figured if I didn't like it, she could go back to the mall and return it... HELLA GOOD!! And hella confident!! I ended up keeping them... They were cute!!!!

Even when I'm not physically shopping... I can always count on my GFs to shop for me. I LOVE IT.

Happy Birthday Mookie!

Before this day ends, I'd like to say Happy Birthday to one of my bestfriends, Marie Jesusa Cruz! LOL! I love you MOOKS!

Last Saturday for Mookie's birthday we took her out for an all-girl day. We started off with afternoon tea at the Ritz in S.F., shopped for a bit at H&M while running into zombies (wierd, but just see the pics), ate at a Vietnamese restaurant, had pedis at Recharge Spa, then watched Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. It was a long day, but definitely full of good times...

By the time we finished the movie in the Une, it was about 11 p.m. and we were heading back to the Fox for a slumber party. Little did Mookie know, she was in for a surprise!! When we initially planned the event, Mookie knew what were planning to do in the city and since we were heading back to my house for a sleepover, I thought it would be REALLY cool if I bought decorations and had the house decorated for Mookie for when we got home.... She would never know we planned to decorate the house since she already knew that we were going to be in the city for her birthday..... She was definitely surprised!!! Thanks to the boys for decorating the house... AWESOME JOB! More than I had ever expected =)

Anyway, here are pics of us when we got our toes did. We had an AWESOME experience at Recharge Spa (thanks to Grace for the recommendation!). I'll be posting a slideshow and giving a review of Recharge Spa soon =)
