The last day of babysitting AJ & Emmalie was probably the hardest of all days - 1.) because this time we spent a whole day with them and 2.) Emmalie was just in one of her cranky moods. We know for sure it wasn't because they didn't have enough sleep because they slept from 10 p.m. to 9:30 a.m. but I don't know... It was just one of them days... MUN. All day, when there was any talk of going home (like when we packed up their stuff to bring to their house or when we picked up Jason's keys to Lisa's house) she would have a full on fit about not going home because get this -- she wanted her mom to say goodbye to her before leaving for Boston because she didn't get to say goodbye to her when she actually left on Tuesday.... OH...........MUN...... The re-enactments. She basically wanted to stay in Ninang's house so that her mom could say bye... and then have her mom pick her up... MUN! Hahahaha. Nonsense dude.... So I told her, "well that wouldn't really be the same, because Mommy would've said goodbye to you at Grandma Lorna's... so do you want to go back to Grandma Lorna's?" And then she would cry more.... hahaha. OH boy... It's one thing to make a kid stop by fixing their problem like if they want a toy, you just give it to them... or if they're hungry, you just feed them... but to freakin re-enact having her Mom say goodbye to her even though she's technically back from vacation????? OH!!!!!!!!!! MUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was frustrating at first.... but then it just became comedy..... Apparently, this is her thing... to have a situation start all over again, so that it can be her way the second time around....
For example.... when we got to their place, I asked AJ & Emmalie to wash their hands.... Emmalie wanted to wash her hands first but AJ jumped in and washed hs hands first.... She had a FIT!!! So in order to make things better, we had to have her wash her hands AND THEN have AJ wash his hands AGAIN after her so that she could - in her mind - be the first one to wash her hands.... Hahahahahaha.... BOY.
Anyway, overall, the day went OK.... We went to Color Me Mine to paint ceramics with Mookie and B, then afterwards ate at Mc Donald's, had yogurt and Yo Swirl and then watched Wall - E. We then rented two movies to watch at their house, baked cupcakes, bathed them and put them to bed.... It was a LOOOONG Day.
I think from this experience, I've learned that Jason is really good with kids... he really knows how to discipline them well and knows what to say...versus me who just caves in sometimes, just to get them to stop complaining or crying... Plus, he's also patient with them... I guess SOMEONE's ready to have kids! Hahaha... After this experience, it won't be for a while!!!
