Yesterday, the news was ALL OVER same sex marriage. They talked about how it would be an economic boost to San Francisco for all the wedding vendors (especially since gays like the finer things!). They interviewed a couple, Phyllis and Dale, who had been together for 55 years and another couple from Davis who had been together for 34 years! The lady who had been with her partner for 34 years looked super excited to marry her partner, it made me tear!! It's just crazy to me, that someone who's loved their partner for 34 freakin years, could be deprived of marrying someone they truly LOVE.... It's just not right, you know?
Anyway, kudos to all the gay couples getting married... Hopefully nothing changes with same-sex marriage when it gets on the ballot this November.
