Last Monday the Chronicle talked about this new search engine that is trying to outdo Google. This search engine that just started yesterday is called Chacha. Rather than inputting what you are looking for, you talk to a live person through instant message and that person ("guide") will look for what you need... The point they're trying to make is that human intelligence is better than having a computer search for your needs... They're planning on hiring, I believe 3,000 guides, and their pay will be based on how well they research what people are looking for, which can range between $5 to $20... Pretty cool concept.. There are definitely times when I've googled for something and I still can't find exactly what I need...
