OK, So I heard through the grapevine that Big Brother is monitoring our
internet usage so I'm going to blog via e-mail and chat via mobile phone
for now...
Anyway, Happy Birthday to OLI and CIL!!! We didn't get a chance to go to
Cil's shindig in the city, but ended up spending time with Oli and Rhea
for his 30th!!! We went to the city and had Yakiniku (my first time!!!)
at Juban and then hit up Circa (also my first time!!) for some drinks...
It was nice to hang out with Oli and Rhea especially since we'd never
done an us 4 outing EVER... Happy Birthday Oli!!
The next day - Sunday - Jason and I experienced 2 FAILURES. We attempted
to go to Half Moon Bay's Pumpkin Festival.... went as far as the 280
junction on 92 and ended up making a FAT U-y... HELLA TRAFFIC dude. My
parent's even tried going at 7 a.m. that day and they said it was
already bad during that time (we went around noon)... That was our first
failure... Second failure -- We decided to go to the city (AGAIN) to
California Academy of Sciences... ended up stopping by the Capsule
Design Festival and when we finally got to the Museum, they were no
longer selling tickets. OOF. They had reached capacity and was sold out
for the day!! Freakin A dude. GEEZ. Anyway, the day didn't turn out so
bad because 1. We ended up going to the Capsule Design Festival and I
got a cute Members Only jacket and 2. We got to see the De Young museum
(our default since Cal Academy sold out and De Young was just across the
street).... Oh! Plus we went to Kowloon and had Burmese food for the
first time!!!
All I gotta say is THANK YOU YELP... When you have no plans and are just
planning as you go, Yelp is definitely handy!! That's how we found out
about the festival (where I got a free Yelp tote bag!!) and about Burma
Superstar where there were people lining up outside just to dine in
(CAH-RAZY!!). Yelp ROCKS!

Yah, we played it smart and stayed at my grandma's house the night before. There were so many people at the festival! We left HMB around 9 p.m. to avoid the traffic going home too. Pumpkin ice cream was amazing!
